Matt Donovan (born Ohio) is an American poet. He won a 2010 Whiting Writers' Award.[1]

He graduated from Vassar College with a BA, from Lancaster University with an MA, and from New York University with an MFA. He teaches at Santa Fe University of Art and Design.[2]
He won a Pushcart Prize, an National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, the 2008 Larry Levis Reading Prize,[3] the 2009 Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize,[4] a 2010 Lannan Foundation Writing Residency Fellowship.[5] Vellum won the 2006 Bakeless Prize.
His work appeared in AGNI,[6] Blackbird,[7] Poetry,[8] The Kenyon Review,[9] The Gettysburg Review,[10] The Threepenny Review,[11] and The Virginia Quarterly Review.[12]
